Mixing and Application Guide

How to mix MABBOND+

One 5 kg bag of MABBOND+ to one 50 kg bag of cement. Everything else stays exactly the way you already work.

The ratio: 5 kg MABBOND+ to 50 kg cement.

That is one full bag of MABBOND+ for every standard 50 kg bag of cement. No weighing, no guesswork: one bag to one bag.

Step by step

Six steps to a stronger plaster.

Follow the same order every time for a uniform, high-performance mix.

  1. Add MABBOND+ to cement

Add 5 kg of MABBOND+ to 50 kg of cement: one bag of additive per one bag of cement.

  2. Add sand as normal

Add your plaster sand in the same quantity you normally use. No change to your sand ratio.

  3. Mix until homogeneous (dry mix)

Blend the MABBOND+, cement and sand thoroughly while dry, until the mix is completely uniform in colour and texture.

  4. Add water as normal

Add clean water in the usual amount for your plaster mix: no extra water is needed.

  5. Mix until homogeneous (wet mix)

Mix again until you have a smooth, uniform, workable plaster with no lumps or dry pockets.

  6. Apply as normal

Apply the plaster exactly as you would any standard plaster, with a stronger bond, better water resistance and a longer-lasting finish.

Pro tip: mix the dry components first (steps 1–3) before any water touches the mix. This ensures the polymer additive is evenly distributed through every part of the plaster.

Substrates

Apply to all types of masonry walls and cement boards.

  • Brick walls

  • Concrete block walls

  • Stone masonry
